LEGO / LORD OF THE RINGS
The LEGO Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set from 2023 was so successful, it was followed up by an even bigger set in 2024, Barad-dûr. My budget for custom content was four times more than what I had for Rivendell and I was given the opportunity to direct a talented colleague on referring assets.
I worked on these exclusive LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, based on my favorite movies, based on my favorite books, three years in a row! You can take a look at the previous and following years of LEGO LOTR by clicking the links below.
In order to feature the set’s impressive height, we contracted a 3D vendor to create animation that would be used across two videos stacked on top of each other for the product’s detail page.
I worked on the product’s detail page, while I directed my colleague on the design of referring assets. Much of the motion content we had developed for the detail page also served double-duty as content for social posts and LEGO.com home page banners.
