LEGO / LORD OF THE RINGS
The LEGO Lord of the Rings: Rivendell exclusive had the highest sales forecast of any single LEGO product in 2023. Being an expensive set targeted at adults, its launch campaign needed to communicate the product’s value. It needed a premium treatment.
I worked on these exclusive LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, based on my favorite movies, based on my favorite books, three years in a row! You can take a look at the following two years of LEGO LOTR by clicking the links below.
I contracted a 3D vendor to source animated renders of the product. That meant creating a storyboard of what I envisioned the motion content on the product page and across paid social media would be, and using it to brief the vendor, while simultaneously getting approval from the IP partner. The finished product set the bar for motion content on LEGO.com.
This motion content was featured on the product’s landing page and referring assets like display ads and social media.
Many referring assets for different channels were created, driving to the product’s detail page.
